ISO 9001 Internal Auditor

Course description

The IECB ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training course is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to carry out Quality Management System (QMS) audits by utilizing recognized audit principles, procedures, and methods. This training merges the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1, the guidelines of ISO 19011, and other auditing best practices into a comprehensive methodology, enabling you to effectively plan, execute, and conclude ISO 9001 conformity assessment audits.

This course not only provides a theoretical foundation but also includes examples, exercises, and quizzes that allow you to practice crucial elements of conformity assessment audits. These include interpreting ISO 9001 requirements in an audit context, understanding auditing principles, applying audit techniques, gathering and verifying evidence, leading an audit team, drafting nonconformity reports, and creating the final audit report.

Upon successful completion of the training course and passing the subsequent exam, you will receive the “Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor” credential. This certification endorses your professional skills, proving that you possess the knowledge and capabilities to audit a QMS based on ISO 9001.

Course Agenda

  • Day 1: Introduction to the quality management system (QMS) and ISO 9001

  • Day 3: On-site audit activities, Closing of the Audit and the Certification exam

Assessment

  • All candidates at official training courses are tested throughout their course with quizzes and exercises, in combination with a final exam held on the last day of the course.  Both elements are a part of the overall score. For this course, the final exam constitutes a 10 question essay type exam which should be completed within 125 minutes. A passing score is achieved at 70%.
